The sensor module has strong adaptability to ambient light and has a pair of infrared emitting and receiving tubes. The transmitting tube emits a certain frequency of infrared rays. When the detecting direction encounters an obstacle (reflecting surface), the infrared ray is reflected by the receiving tube, After the comparator circuit processing, the green light will light up, while the signal output interface output digital signal (a low 0V signal), through the potentiometer knob to adjust the detection range, the effective range of 2 ~ 30cm, operating voltage of 3.3V -5V. The detection distance of the sensor can be adjusted by the potentiometer. It has the characteristics of small interference, easy assembly and convenient use. It can be widely used in many occasions such as robot obstacle avoidance, obstacle avoidance car, pipeline counting and black and white line tracing.

Product performance:

1. When there is no obstacle signal in front of the module, the OUT port will output high level (5V) continuously. When the module detects the front obstacle signal, the green indicator on the circuit board will light and the OUT port will continue to output low (0V) signal, the module detects the distance of 2 ~ 30cm, detection angle of 35 °, the detection distance can be adjusted by potentiometer, clockwise potentiometer, the detection distance increases; counterclockwise potentiometer to reduce the detection distance.
